CAPOEIRA FOR KIDS
Kids can start capoeira as young as one year old. From their first year until the age of five, Capoeira is thought from a recreational angle, introducing the child to musicality, instruments and some basic movements that they are able to perform according to their level of motor development.
From the approximate age of 6, kids are able to follow more structured movements and interact with a partner to execute the 'sequências' or 'drills'. Progressing to absorb and process more complex 'sequências' and develop further on the game, fight and musicality aspects of Capoeira, as they get older. |

"Training in a capoeira formal school always scares me as I started with an informal one. And there's always this stigma that it might not be as friendly or whatnot. When I started with Capoeira Beribazu Brisbane, I was welcomed with open arms. Pequeno and Deia are just so amazing! They are very patient teachers and never give up on you. I have to admit that I am such a slow learner but with them, there's always no fuss. Everyone treats you like a family and you can just be your self when you're with them. You don't have to fake being good at these things when you're not because these people help each and everyone to succeed together. Always good fun with these guys. You will get to love and appreciate capoiera more because of Beribazu!"
